unroll

Terms of use

The rules for using unroll, the tool that turns the comments on a post into a game.

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Written in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us.

What unroll is

unroll takes the people who commented on a public post, or a list of names you upload, and has them compete in a game. The result is a vertical video and a public page with the giveaway certificate.

The winner is picked at random: the game is decided by a draw code and the list of entrants. With that code and that list, the game always gives the same result, and anyone can check it.

Who runs the giveaway

You run the giveaway, not unroll. You’re responsible for its rules, for delivering the prize, and for following the laws of your country and the rules of the social network where you post it.

Instagram requires every promotion to say that Instagram doesn’t sponsor or administer it, and that entrants release Instagram from responsibility. Our rules template already includes this.

Proper use

Only use unroll with your own posts or with posts from brands that gave you permission. The demo feature with a brand’s @ is for showing that brand the result: don’t post that video without their permission.

Don’t use unroll to deceive entrants, for giveaways that are illegal in your country, or to upload content you don’t have the right to use (logos, prize images).

Don’t try to tamper with the result or with how the service works.

Certificates

When you publish a certificate, unroll re-runs the game on its servers and saves the result. The certificate is public, can’t be changed, and stays online even if you cancel your plan.

The certificate shows the list of entrants, the winners, the alternates, the rules, and how many people were left out by each rule. It never shows who was left out.

Plans and payments

For now, paid plans are set up by talking to us. Once there’s automatic billing, prices and terms will be on the pricing page before you pay.

Availability

unroll relies on third-party services to read Instagram comments. If those services fail or change, we may not be able to load a post. We do our best to keep it working, but we don’t guarantee the service will always be available.

unroll isn’t responsible for indirect damages or for losses arising from a giveaway you run.

Changes

If we change these terms, we update the date above. If the change is important, we’ll let you know beforehand.
