Privacy

What data unroll uses, what for, and what you can ask us.

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Written in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us.

What data we use

From people who comment on a public post: their username, their profile picture, the text of their first comment, how many times they commented, and how many accounts they tagged. This data is already public on the post.

From the organizer: the post link, the game settings and, if you add it, the brand (name, colors, logo and prize).

What for

Only to build the game, apply the giveaway rules (for example, how many friends must be tagged, or leaving out offensive comments) and issue the certificate.

We don’t sell data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t build profiles of people.

What gets stored

While you set up the game, the comments live in your browser.

If you publish a certificate, we store: the list of usernames that entered, the winners and alternates, the rules, how many people were left out by each rule, how the video looked, and a small copy of the winners’ pictures (Instagram links expire). Separately, we keep a private record of who was left out and why, which isn’t published.

Who we work with

We use an Instagram data provider to read public comments, and Vercel to host the site and store certificates. They only receive what they need to do their part.

Cookies

We use two of our own cookies: one remembers your language and the other remembers that you signed in to the app. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

If you appear on a certificate and want us to remove your name or picture, write to us with the certificate link. We do it with a note on the page saying there was a change, so the giveaway can still be checked.

You can also ask us what data we have about you.
